4 Tbsp. of Milk Powder
3Tbsp of Roasted Crushed Almonds
1Tsp Cardamom Powder
1/2 Tsp of Almond Extract(optional)
3 Tbsp. Condensed Milk
2 Tbsp. Ghee

Directions-

Take roasted Gram and make a fine powder by grinding it. Add powdered roasted Gram in a mixing bowl and add the above remaining ingredients. Mix it well and form a dough out of it. If ingredients don't combine together in a dough form then go ahead and add more condensed milk or ghee little at a time and try to form a dough. I have not added sugar, as condensed milk is sweet. If you feel the need, you can add powdered sugar according to taste. Grease your palms and then form pedas with the dough. Garnish the Pedas with some flakes of dry fruits. And Peda is Ready...
Store Peda in airtight container inside refrigerator and enjoy!!

Cheers!!!

Easy Pista Milk Burfi | Instant Pista flavor Burfi without mawa | IKF -I...

Countdown has begun! Festivals are approaching and we are as excited as one can be. Happiness, sweetness is in the air, and talking of sweetness, how can we not have sweets ( Homemade even better). I am going little fancy with sweets this time and preparing a rich, melt-in-mouth layered Pista Burfi. This burfi is prepared with instant mawa, flavored with pistachios. It is soft and moist and tastes and looks like a store bought one. Lets begin...

Pista Milk Burfi

Ingredients-

Bottom Layer-

12 Marie Biscuits or any other digestive biscuits
2 Tbsp melted Butter/Ghee
1/4 Tsp Cardamom Powder

Top Layer-

2+1/2 cups Milk Powder
1 cup Milk
3/4 cups Sugar
2 Tbsp Ghee
3 Tbsp crushed Pistachios
1/2 Tsp Cardamom Powder
Few drops of green food color(optional)
Some crushed Pistachios to garnish

Directions-

Lets start by preparing the bottom layer of the burfi. Take biscuits and prepared a fine powder out of it. Add Biscuit Powder, butter and cardamom powder in a mixing bowl and mix until well combine. Take a tray or deep dish to set the burfi in and grease it with butter and line with parchment paper. Transfer the prepared mix in the tray and spread evenly to form the bottom layer. Keep the tray in refrigerator for bottom layer to set.

Now, lets make the second/top layer for burfi. In a mixing bowl combine milk powder and milk. Prepare a smooth, lump-free batter out of it. Keep a pan on medium heat. Pour the batter in the pan and cook until it thickens by continuously stirring it. Add Ghee to the pan, once batter thickens, cook for couple of minutes. Switch off the flame, when batters starts to leave pan and forms a dough like. Now add crushed pistachios and cardamom powder and mix well. Add green food color, if desired. Pour the mix on top of the bottom layer prepared earlier. Spread evenly. If mix sticks to the spoon, then grease it and spread. Top it up with crushed/chopped pistachios to garnish.  Once mix is spreaded evenly on top of bottom layer, let it set in the refrigerator. After couple of hours, take the tray out from fridge and unmold the burfi. Cut into desired shape and size and store in airtight container inside the fridge and enjoy!!

Thank you!!
